Film: "This is Where it Starts"

Commissioned to create the decisive final presentation film for Lausanne’s bid, "This is Where it Starts" was the last piece of media the IOC members saw before casting their vote in Kuala Lumpur. The creative challenge was to visually articulate Lausanne’s unique educational promise to young athletes.

We developed a distinctive graphic novel aesthetic, shot on location in Lausanne, to metaphorically illustrate the journey of learning and inspiration the city offered. This stylized approach set the bid apart, focusing on narrative and youthful energy over traditional sports imagery.

Outcome: The film concluded the winning presentation, with Lausanne appointed host by a decisive 71-10 vote.
